Aftercare

Dos & Don'ts

You did it! Now what..? Proper aftercare is the key to a successful service. Don't sweat it—literally— we have everything you need to know right here!

Hair Removal Aftercare

  • DON'T soak in a hot tub/bath or sweat heavily for 24 hours. Yes, this means no sexual activity and skipping the gym.
  • DON'T use a sunbed for 48 hours and avoid sun exposure.
  • DON'T shave or use depilatory cream between waxes. This will distort hair growth and also allow your roots to strengthen (ouch!)
  • DON'T pick at ingrowns! This can cause infections and scarring. Talk to your waxpert if you're prone to them.
  • DO wear loose, breathable fabrics if possible. Cotton is your best friend!
  • DO keep the area clean. Touch only with washed hands— no scratching!
  • DO use aftercare products. We have a number of them available for purchase in-shop. Consult with your waxpert to see what's best for your skin!
  • DO exfoliate between waxes to help prevent ingrown hairs. You can start 2-3 days after waxing. We have mitts, dry brushes, and sugar scrubs available for purchase at all locations.

Spray Tan Aftercare

  • DON'T shower, swim, or prespire heavily until your tan has developed— 2 hours for our express formula or 8 hours for our standard and dark ones.
  • DON'T leave an express tan on for longer than 2 hours! It can over-oxidize and look orange. Both of our 8 hour tans stop developing on their own and may be worn overnight.
  • DON'T panic if you see your tan "go down the drain." This is the guide color! Your tan will be at its peak and final color within 24 hours of application.
  • DO wear loose, dark colored clothing and flip flops after your spray.
  • DO bring an umbrella to your appointment if rain is in the forecast!
  • DO rinse your tan off gently after it has developed. Use warm water— no hot water or harsh soaps.
  • DO pat dry then moisturize. Continue to moisturize as often as possible to prolong the life of your tan!
  • DO remember that physical exfoliation (scrubs, brushes, etc.), chemical exfoliants in skincare (retinols, AHAs, etc.), and chlorine may fade your tan faster than anticipated.

Brow Stain Aftercare

  • DON'T panic if your stain feels too dark after your appointment. It is still oxidizing, and this time period is crucial to the stain's longevity. Brows will fade into their final color once they are exposed to water after 24 hours.
  • DON'T use makeup, skincare, or facial cleansers around the brow area for 24 hours.
  • DON'T use sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms, or swimming pools for 24 hours.
  • DON'T exfoliate or use anti-aging products around the brow area for 2-3 days.
  • DO apply brow oil to hydrate a few times a week. We have a growth-inducing one available to purchase in-shop, or pure castor oil works great as well.

Brow Lamination Aftercare

  • DON'T use makeup, skincare, or facial cleansers around the brow area for 24 hours.
  • DO apply brow oil to hydrate a few times a week. We have a growth-inducing one available to purchase in-shop, or pure castor oil works great as well.

Lash Lift and/or Tint Aftercare

  • DON'T use oil based skincare products or makeup on or near your lashes for 24 hours.
  • DON'T rub, twist, or sleep directly on your lashes for the first 24 hours.
  • DO consider switching to a tubing mascara if you typically use waterproof. Waterproof mascara formulas can be incredibly drying and may fade your tint or flatten your lift faster.
  • DO avoid hot water or steam on lashes for 24 hours.

Dermaplaning Aftercare

  • DON'T use a depilatory cream or have facial waxing done for 2 weeks.
  • DON'T use scrubs or chemical exfoliants (retinols, AHAs, etc.) for 1 week.
  • DO avoid direct sun exposure for 3 days and use an SPF of 30.
  • DO moisturize! Use soothing and hydrating serums and creams to maintain your smooth, glowy complexion.
